A brilliant piece. I’ve always been someone who falls hard for every hobby (briefly) and falls into the trap of trying to perfect my skills within it. Only to drop it when the next thing comes along, leaving a sense of disappointment — but, you’re so right in saying that we should be okay with doing things just for the sake of pure joy. Without fear of failure, and inner judgement! ♥️
Loved reading this! Having overshared on the Internet for 16 years, I am just loving keeping my hobbies all to myself (well, mostly) and it feels so good.
I recently started an adult tap class with my mom and we’re loving it! Great low-impact exercise, and it’s forcing us to retrain our brain and body to accomplish certain steps. Highly recommend!
