Wow, can you believe it's already July?! Instead of stressing about how fast the year is zooming by, let's catch up on some exciting updates. School is oficially out and we've fully embraced Summer mode. Because of this, my June reading was quite full as I’ve been chiping away at my extensive summer TBR list. With that, I'm loving the long, lazy Summer days with my kids, enjoying our time together, and squeezing in some reading whenever I get the chance. Here’s a glimpse of what my June looked like!
Real Americans by Rachel Khong ☆☆☆☆☆ — This will easily be a top book for the year for me. The narrative is beautiful but the twist of truths that connect the beginning to the end are brilliant. I was mesmerized by this story from the beginning. Lives intertwined in 3 generations. So many questions raised both scientific and emotional about what makes a real American.

Summer Romance by Annabel Monaghan ☆☆☆☆ — I adored everything about this book! Packed with humor, romance, dealing with grief and finding out what really matters in life. You’ll love all the characters.

Swan Song by Elin Hilderbrand ☆☆☆☆☆ — Elin Hilderbrand is an auto buy author for me. I’ve been patiently waiting for this book to come out! With a handful of characters, I felt like I could read a chapter or two and set aside. This book felt as a homage to all things Nantucket from so many point of views!

Honey by Isabel Banta | ☆☆☆☆ — This novel is thoughtful and reflection AND delivers adult romance so thoroughly. You will be taken back to the years you pined for NSYNC (or the Backstreet Boys, respectfully) while marveling at Brittany and other young 'divas'. Best of all, there is a HEA for all involved and it has a healthier resolution than I would have anticipated from the genre. I think I'm going to reread it -- that's how deeply it's burrowed into my mind.

The Rom-Commers by Katherine Center ☆☆☆☆ — Delightful, charming and funny, with just the right amount of serious and thought-provoking themes. This is my fourth read from Katherine Center, she is becoming one of my all-time favorite authors (check out Hello Stranger and The Bodyguard
