You need to know one thing about me: I thrive in a setting where blankets, candles, and coffeehouse jazz exist. From the couch with a book to my desk for a day of work, this environment sets me up to be the most relaxed and productive version of myself. Because work in the wintertime for me is the busiest of all, I make sure that what surrounds me sets me up for success. Most days, this is as simple as turning on a space heater so my freezing toes don’t distract me, but on the dreariest days when my to-do list is stacked, I need even more reinforcements. Over the years, I have fine-tuned my desk essentials, so I am sharing them with you because I firmly believe that these winter desk essentials can help you achieve your goals and feel inspired—even on the coldest, busiest days when you’d much rather be reading a book on your couch.
My desk essentials
Portable Humidifier - Combat dry skin, alleviate any pesky cold symptoms, and get your work done all at once with this easy-to-clean humidifier that is small enough to sit on your desk.
Nourishing Hand Cream - If you’re anything like me, your hands get absolutely destroyed in the Winter. Keep this rich hand cream infused with shea butter at your desk at all times to moisturize and protect your skin from dryness. (I also love this one and this one)
Daily Planners - I’m a big fan of paper planners with plenty of space to take notes. With two young children, there is ALWAYS something going on. You’ll have no problem getting your work done, fitting in social plans, and carving out you time.
Heated Throw - I absolutely require a heated blanket in the winter, and this is one of my favorites. With six heating levels and four time settings, you’ll be toasty and comfy all day long.
Space Heater - Never suffer through a cold office day again. This lightweight, safe-to-use space heater has multiple heat settings and an adjustable thermostat. Plus, it looks way more chic than most.
Candle Warming Lamp - If you decide to add one thing to your desk space this winter, let it be this candle warming lamp. With consistent, low heat, it will allow you to enjoy the scent of your favorite candle without needing to light it—plus, it just adds to the ambiance.
Bow Claw Clip - For when you simply cannot be bothered to do your hair but want to feel and look cute, keep this set of two bow claw clips at your desk for an easy up-do moment.
Wrap Blanket - We all know by now that anything by Barefoot Dreams is peak cozy. This high-quality wrap blanket will be your desk companion all throughout the season.
Folding Bed Tray - We stan work from bed days every now and then, especially when it’s too cold to get out from under the covers. This foldable tray makes it totally possible to be productive while you’re still tucked in.
Light Therapy Lamp - Not getting enough sunlight this season? Me neither. This small, desk-friendly light therapy lamp combats serotonin dips from a lack of Vitamin D, so you can keep your mood and motivation intact on the dreariest of days.
Sony Bluetooth Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones - Even on your busiest days, these noise-cancelling headphones will, without a doubt, keep you in the zone. The best part? They have a 30 hour battery life and charge in the blink of an eye once they die.
Walking Pad - Getting in your steps is not for the faint of heart this time of year. Whether it’s too cold where you live to walk outside or you’re too busy crushing deadlines to leave your desk, this walking pad is a must-have this season and beyond.
Cube Timer - Whether you’re a time-blocking pro or you need the push of a stopwatch to get work done, this timer is the perfect accessory to have handy while you’re crushing your goals.
Tissue Box Cover - Everybody gets sick this time of year—I don’t make the rules. It’s a sad reality, but at least your tissue box will look cute on your desk with this tissue box cover. The best part? It’s under $10.
Slippers - When you need a little pep in your step, throw on these adorable happy face slide slippers. I love these lightweight, comfortable slippers for WFH days.
Gel Pens - If the set of pens you bought at the top of the year are out of ink, same. I love this set of jewel-toned gel pens. They are fine-point and write ultra-smooth.
Cordless Lamp - For your longest work days when the sun sets far too early, this dimmable, cordless lamp will be your saving grace. This one won’t take up too much space and is under $40!
Under Desk Drawers - These are so handy and easy to connect to your desk or remove. It helps me keep little things off my desk for a clutter free desk.

I'm a big fan of my desktop air purifier and humidifier! Air in my office at work does not circulate after hours and both are necessary to keep the air clean and breathable! Another thing I use daily is an under desk foot rest!
